Croi McNamara is senior vice president, video programming, Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE) reporting to Oren Katzeff, president, CNE.
As the head of programming for CNE’s digital video division, McNamara oversees the programming and production of digital video franchises created for and inspired by Condé Nast’s iconic brands. CNE is an award-winning next generation studio and distribution network with entertainment content across film, television, premium digital video, social, and virtual reality.
McNamara most recently served as vice president and general manager at Upworthy Media, where she grew monthly video views to more than 400 percent in less than a year. Prior to Upworthy, McNamara served as the global head of design and media for Thomson Reuters IP&S, where she was instrumental in the company’s pivot to digital and video storytelling.
Previously, she was a director and executive producer for Discovery Communications’ digital studios and published tens of thousands of pieces of content annually across Discovery’s flagship networks, including Discovery, Animal Planet, TLC and Science Channel. While at Discovery, McNamara was executive producer of the 2014 Interactive Emmy Award® winning, “SkyWire Live.” She also helmed the multimedia Emmy-nominated, Webby and ADDY award-winning “Whale Wars: Blood and Water” for Animal Planet, and piloted numerous projects that went on to become successful franchises within the Discovery Digital eco-system.
McNamara began her career as a producer, writer and line producer, working for National Geographic, Discovery Communications, RTE, NHK and the Food Network, among others. She was line producer on the 2012 Peabody Award winning documentary film, “Rebirth.”
She received her B.A. from Temple University.
